I am pleased to report that the 2021-22 school year has started on a positive note and our students are doing well wearing their masks and following social distancing protocol.  Faculty and staff are all working extra hard to keep our building safe for everyone.

On September 30th we hosted our 13th annual “Evening of Excellence” to honor those students in grades 7-12 who maintained a GPA of 90% or higher during the 2020-21 school year.  This is always a rewarding event to honor our best and brightest.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we limited the number of guests allowed to attend and Department of Health protocol was followed.  We were still able to provide these students with a meaningful evening to honor all their hard work.

We were able to take a school-wide field trip to Animal Adventure and a wild time was had by all.    These were always such special events for our school, but we are hoping to be able to continue the tradition.

Working with children and educating our young people is sometimes a challenging task, but one with many rewards.  As in the past, this year our focus continues to be on improving student achievement as well as ensuring that all our seniors graduate in June 2022.  Our overall aim is still the same; to provide the very best educational experience for all our students and to assist each student in preparing for their future.

Lastly, I hope that every child comes to school each day prepared to learn and eager to participate in the exciting opportunities offered here at Andes.
